I ran to the house, eager to haul out my Remington 30-06' deer rifle and score my first enemy aircraft. Unfortunately for me, but fortunately for the pilot, when I looked up again I could read "Outback" on the side of the airship. Not having heard anything about an outbreak of hostilities with Australia, I figured it was probably not a threat.
Nevertheless, I'm keeping the artillery close at hand for the next encounter with an unidentified flying object.

Actually, the Outback blimp was in town in support of Brian "Brain" Kissinger's campaign to fly across the country and raise money for brain tumor research. A former Air Force pilot and cancer survivor, he's flying a restored, WWII-vintage Piper L-4.
Details here, here, and here
We had seen the blimp flying around the midtown area over the weekend, and I googled "blimp outback st. louis" and found the info.
PS: Outback is an American company, but the decor is Australian-themed.
PPS: Their blimps are named Bloomin' Onion I and II.
I saw this man's story on the evening news a few days ago. They even showed how they have to spin the prop on the Piper Cub to crank it up.
